World Cup of Hockey jersey deemed “illegal” must now be changed.
A hockey jersey was actually deemed to be illegal.

This is one of the more bizarre hockey stories of the year thus far.
In a strange twist, the jerseys for Team Czech Republic have been scratched after they sported what was called an "illegal badge" according to a report from sportslogos.net. The Lion Crest on the jersey you see above is only one quarter of the full crest, and there is apparently a law in the Czech Republic that forbids the used of only the Lion Crest where the entire crest would fit.
As a result the previous jerseys were disposed of and a new jersey has been introduced and this one features the full crest and we assume will be the approved jersey going forward.
