From the Ottawa Senators management group who brought you such hits as:

  • The Erik Karlsson / Mike Hoffman drama
  • The shit-talking Uber scandal
  • The arrest of their assistant GM for sexual misconduct

Eugene Melnyk and his buddies are back with a new hit!

In all seriousness, the circus in Ottawa under Melnyk is getting to become an absolute joke. Last week the organization announced the abrupt firing of CEO Jim Little for "conduct inconsistent with the core values of the Ottawa Senators and the National Hockey League.”

Check it out:

Little was on the job for just two months before his firing. Little himself got in front of the move and stated that his firing came after a disagreement with Melnyk in which Little used "swear words."

Seriously?! This is hockey... sometimes there are some swear words flying around. Is this really a reason to fire the man in charge of changing your organization's public perception? Of course not, but when your team is owned by a power hungry individual like Melnyk, all bets are off.

Buckle up, Sens fans because TSN insider Brent Wallace is now reporting that the team is parting ways with their VP of communications, as well.

Check it out:

Reading between the lines here, it looks like Melnyk may just be unhappy with the fact that his two new high profile hirings may have ended up not being the "Yes Men" that he surrounds himself with. Sorry, Sens fans... you deserve better.
