Your Call: Does Travis Sanheim deserve to make the Flyers?

He's having an amazing preseason.

Travis Sanheim stole the show in the Flyers' preseason OT loss to the New York Rangers on Monday night, scoring twice, including a wicked slap-shot goal that beat all-star goaltender Henrik Lundqvist upstairs.

Sanheim was selected in the first round of the 2014 draft  (17th overall) and has had an impressive training camp along with fellow rookies Robert Hagg and Sam Morin. It was originally assumed that only two of the young blueliners would make the team, but they're making it hard on GM Ron Hextall to choose one to send down to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL.

There is definitely a logjam on the Flyers' defense right now, so is it possible Sanheim makes the club and we see someone like Andrew MacDonald or Brandon Manning go to Lehigh Valley?

The 21-year-old Sanheim has displayed great offensive abilities, a NHL-caliber slap shot, fantastic mobility and the skill to read plays very well. He smashed the 60-point mark in each of his final two seasons in the WHL and was a huge asset for the Phantoms last season.

Is it time for him to make the jump to the NHL?
