Zach Hyman punished by NHL Player Safety for high stick on Neal Pionk

The Leafs' forward pays for his wicked slash at Pionk's face.


This just in, NHL Player Safety has fined Toronto Maple Leafs forward Zach Hyman $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for high-sticking Winnipeg Jets defenseman Neal Pionk.

You'll see that Hyman gets into a jousting match with two Jets players when he turns around with wild swing that strikes Pionk in the face. Not cool and it earns the Leafs forward a cool $5,000.
