In spite of the fact that he lost his bout against former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, infamous influencer Jake Paul earned a measure of respect from many sports fans on Friday night by hanging in the ring for 6 rounds before eventually being knocked out.

Paul had a respectable showing despite being clearly outmatched by the bigger, stronger and more experienced Joshua, a respectable showing that has unfortunately left Paul with a number of injuries he will now have to deal with.

Following his fight with Joshua on Friday night, Paul took to social media to confirm that he had suffered a broken jaw. Paul did so by publishing a photo of one of his x-rays, a photo that very clearly showed he had has jaw broken in two places.

Here is a look at the photo:

Given the devastating manner in which Joshua ended the fight, a broken jaw comes as little surprise:

Paul is now speaking out after getting out of surgery, stating that the process was successful and thanking the doctors who are helping him on his road to recovery. From Paul:

Just got out of surgery. Everything went smooth. Thanks for all the love. Lots of pain and stiffness. Gotta eat liquids for 7 days

S/o to the amazing team at Miami University hospital. Everyone was so gracious and caring.

Paul already seems poised to take on another challenger, publicly calling out super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez following his loss to Joshua.
