Some sad news from the world of sports on Tuesday.
According to a breaking news report from Ryan Hughes of WFLA in Tampa, Major League Baseball superstar Roy "Doc" Halladay has been killed in a tragic plane accident today, Roy was the only person in the plane.
The Pasco Sherriff's office has confirmed that the body found at the scene of the crash does in fact belong to Roy, it's unclear at this time what the cause of the crash was.
Roy. who spent his career with the Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies, was an 8-time Major League Baseball All-Star, 2-time Cy Young Award winner, and had a perfect game on his resume as well. All in all he had an incredible career and was by all accounts a very well-respected member of his community everywhere he went.
Our condolences go out to his family and friends and this time, rest in peace Roy.
