One of hockey's most respected insiders, Bob McKenzie, conducted a survey among NHL coaches to determine who was the consensus MVP around the league. McKenzie surveyed 20 different coaches, primarily because he felt Alex Ovechkin's late season scoring surge could make some reconsider their position on Carey Price. However that notion was quickly dispelled as Price not only won the vote, bot received 100% of the 1st place votes. That's right, 20 of the 20 NHL coaches polled for this survey all voted for Carey Price. Ovehckin was the consensus #2, all but one of the 20 coaches had Ovechkin as their number two, and the third place voting is where things got a little murkier. Players who received third place voting included Sidney Crosby, Jonathan Toews, Ryan Getzlaf, Rick Nash, Patrick Kane, Pekka Rinne, and Devan Dubnyk. It truly seems like this will be one of the easiest Hart ballots in recent memory, as it appears to be a one horse race.
