The Blackhawks home opener was successful both on the ice and in the stands as the Hawks rang in the new season with a spectacular projection show at the United Center on Saturday. These spectacular shows are a common occurrence on opening night, but none quite matched that of the Blackhawks. The Blackhawks were victorious by a mark of 6-2 over the Buffalo Sabres, on the strength of a four goal third period. Six different Blackhawks scored in this game showing a balanced attack and an ability to win in the clutch.
