They say it's not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog and on Saturday night Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi may have very well proved it.

Domi and the Maple Leafs faced off against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night and it was a game in which the Maple Leafs dominated play through the first 40 minutes of the game. The Leafs didn't just beat the Canucks on the scoreboard however, with Domi handing out some punishment of his own during the game's second period.

Domi and Canucks veteran defenseman Marcus Pettersson could be seen exchanging heated words for several moments before the two men squared up with one another in front of the Canucks net. In the blink of an eye the gloves were off of both men with both appearing to be very willing participants, but very early on it became clear that Pettersson was out of his depth.

Domi dominated the exchange despite being the much smaller man at just 5'10 tall, while Pettersson towered over him at 6'5, with Domi landing the better shots and seemingly keeping Pettersson off balance during the entire fight. Pettersson to his credit remained in the pocket and did try to offer some offense of his own, but Domi continued to ragdoll him and sent him down to the ice, forcing the officials to step in and break up the fight.
