Many "junior" level clubs will often allow their young fans to join the team during pre game warm ups, it gives the young fans a chance to skate with some of their heroes as well as letting them bask in a big game experience. That's exactly what happened during the Oshawa Generals pre game warm ups on Friday night, except this time something went wrong. During the final lap of the skate around, 6'6, 2nd round overall choice from the Calgary Flames, Hunter Smith didn't see the young fan skating and crashed into him. The result was a clothesline like maneuver from Hunter Smith that sent the young man flying to the ice. Members of the generals helped the kid back up and he seemed to shake it off almost immediately, in fact it seemed like Smith was more shaken up by the incident than the kid himself. Pretty tough kid none the less, perhaps he has a hockey future, he certainly is built tough enough taking that kind of hit from a giant like Smith.
