According to Sportsnet, Song moved to Ontario from Beijing at age 10. He was the captain of China at the U-18 division II World Championship. He is currently playing in a prep school in New Jersey.
Andong Song left Beijing for Ontario at age 10, attends prep school in NJ, headed to Phillips-Andover next year and college after that.

According to eliteprospects.com, Song can play both forward and defenseman. At 6'1'' and 194 lbs, he has the size to play in the NHL.
