It is the new big name duel that people are looking forward to watch. McDavid has one clear advantage on his side. Speed. 

Crosby was even quoted that he finds Connor's speed is what you notice most. Well Crosby got to see it up close tonight. McDavid received a short pass from his new linemate Patrick Maroon just outside their blueline, He then turned on the jets and blew past Penguins defenseman Brian Dumoulin who really had no chance. McDavid then put a sweet backhand pass right on Maroon's tape who then proceeded to put it in the back of the open net.

It was a clear example of how McDavid is just able to turn it on and is at full speed in a matter of strides. 

He is definitely something to watch and is quickly rising to the top of the NHL's elite list.
