Hockey is played by gladiators who instead of pretending to be injured, they hide their pain and carry on. Hockey is a rough game. Big hits, blocked shots and roughhousing are part of the game we know and love. The toll taken on the bodies of players is extraordinary. Magical goals and unbelievable saves capture our attention at every turn. When all the elements of hockey are put together, this rough game becomes a thing a beauty.
