Big open ice hit is followed up by dirty cheap shot! (VIDEO)

It was about the only thing that went right for the St. Louis Blues tonight, a big time hit from Steve Ott on Andrew Shaw of the Chicago Blackhawks. During the first period of the game Shaw took a pass from a teammate and found himself right in the path of St. Louis Blues tough guy Steve Ott. Ott proceeded to go right through Shaw like he wasn't even there which drew the wrath of Chicago Blackhawk Daniel Carcillo. Carcillo then cross checked Ott right to the head, a completely unnecessary cheap shot after a good clean hit by Ott. You can see the play unfold here courtesy of the NHL.
