Big signing for the Kings today!

TSN hockey insider Bob Mckenzie announced today that the Los Angeles Kings and Alec Martinez have come to an agreement on a six year deal worth an average annual salary $4 million dollars. The signing comes off the heal of recent comments from the NHL that they believe the cap will see a healthy increase at the end of this season. The Kings who have struggled with cap issues seemed to be hesitant to make the deal at first. Martinez made his return to the line up last night after having his finger "nearly cut off" according to Kings head coach Darryl Sutter. A great move by the Kings who would of had to compete with other teams if Martinez had become a free agent on July 1st.
