It's always nice when people can come together for a good cause and the love of their sport and simply beat the snot out of one another.

Ok maybe not, but that was the vibe on Sunday night when the FDNY and NYPD once again hosted their annual charity game at UBS Arena. The event, which has become very popular among hockey fans in the area, is exactly as advertised with members of the FDNY coming together to take on members of the NYPD in an annual charity hockey game.

The game has been known for fierce competition on both sides despite the fact that the game is for a good cause, with fights breaking out each and every single year and high intensity hockey being played from the moment the puck is dropped until the final buzzer.

Even after the final whistle had blown the animosity between these two sides continued to boil over, which bodes well for fans hoping to see another exciting game come next year.
