Breaking: Auston Matthews has just broken another Maple Leafs record.

If somehow you forgot about how just talented of a player Auston Matthews is turning out to be, don't worry, he's going to constantly do his best to remind you of that fact.

On Monday night the former first overall pick in the 2016 National Hockey League Entry Draft once again showed off his incredible talent when he broke yet another Toronto Maple Leafs rookie record.

This time it was the record for most points by a Leafs' player in a rookie season that was surpassed when Matthews scored a goal in the opening minutes of the game. The goal was part of a three goal barrage that quickly chased Sabres goaltender Robin Lehner from the game.
