Breaking: Dion Phaneuf and Corey Perry drop the gloves!

On Wednesday night two big National Hockey League stars decided to go to war. 

The Anaheim Ducks were facing off against the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday night and things got rough pretty quickly when Ottawa Senators veteran defenseman Dion Phaneuf delivered a cross-check to Anaheim Ducks agitator Corey Perry.

Unsurprisingly Perry was not too happy about the crosscheck and he immediately got into the face of Phaneuf, leading to both men dropping the gloves to settle the score. 

Unfortunately it wasn't a great fight by any stretch of the imagination despite the best efforts of Phaneuf. It looked like Perry immediately regretted his decision to drop the gloves and was just trying to hang on for dear life.
