Breaking: Malkin sent crashing into the boards with a big hip check in Game 7!

While he appeared to bounce back up to his feet after this big hit, you can pet all of Pittsburgh just held it's collective breath.

In the dying seconds of the second period of Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Final, Pittsburgh Penguins star forward Evgeni Malkin tried to push the Ottawa zone for one final play before the whistle blew, but instead took a huge hit. 

That's because defenseman Marc Methot read his movement perfectly and delivered a very solid hip check that sent Malkin crashing hard into the boards to send the game to it's second intermission.
