BREAKING NEWS: NHL hands down discipline for Zac Rinaldo hit (VIDEO)

You knew the NHL would come down hard on repeat offender Zac Rinaldo, and it appears that's exactly what they've done. Rinaldo was offered an in person hearing after a hit that occurred during the January 20th game between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Reports surfaced Friday regarding concussion symptoms for Kris Letang, and with a league that is known for handing out stiffer punishments based on injuries, especially head injuries, it was clear Rinaldo would be given a tough punishment. Add to that the fact that Rinaldo is a repeat offender and the league felt that 8 games was the appropriate punishment for Rinaldo. You can see the hit for yourself here:
