Orginally Pekka Rinne had only been ruled out until the end of the All-Star break which was bad enough for Predators' fans. Now however it appears the news is much worse. Pekka Rinne saw a doctor this morning and the prognosis has gone from a few days, to three to five weeks with a sprained knee. Rinne is without question Nashville's best player, and a goalie that many feel was leading the Vezina trophy race, this will be a huge blow to the Predators. Rinne went down after both the Canucks' Chris Higgins and Nashville's Anton Volchenkov crashed into him. Higgins was driving the net with the puck in an attempt to get a shot off when Volchenkov took him out with a hit that sent both men driving into Rinne, and then sent Rinne crashing into the boards. The Predators will lose a goalie with .931 save percentage and a 1.96 GAA. You can see the video of the injury here.
