For weeks, if not months, there have been rumors of a possible relocation for the Arizona Coyotes, specifically as it pertains to the city of Seattle and the renovations planned for KeyArena.

While those remain merely rumors at this time, rumors that have been steadfastly denied by the team, there is now another major shift happening in the Coyotes organization, one that could have a drastic impact on how they move forward into the future.

According to a report from the CBC, Andrew Barroway has made a huge move, and is now the sole owner of the Arizona Coyotes. From the CBC:

Barroway bought out the Coyotes' minority owners, according to a person with direct knowledge of the transaction who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Monday because the deal has not been announced. Amid continued questions about the Coyotes' arena situation, the person said Barroway is committed to keeping the Coyotes in the area.

That's certainly the league's belief as Barroway takes over.

While Barroway states publicly that he is committed to keeping the team in Arizona, he now has full control after buying out Anthony Leblanc and Gary Drummond, and what he decides to do moving forward is anyone's guess at this point.
