Breaking: Player ejected after hard knee on knee in the playoffs tonight!

There was a very ugly collision on Friday night, one that left the St. Louis Blues with one player hurting, and one that left the Nashville Predators without a player for at least the remainder of the evening.

With the puck behind the St. Louis Blues net, veteran center Vernon Fiddler of the Nashville Predators came in hard and fast on the forecheck, and unfortunately he caught 23-year-old St. Louis Blues' defenseman Colton Parayko directly on the knee.

While it looked more like an incident that was caused by the players looking to avoid contact, there was no doubt that this was a knee-on-knee hit, and as a result Fiddler was tossed from the game.
