The Boston Bruins aren't used to being worried about goal scoring, add to that their 1-3-0 record and the Bruins are in unfamiliar waters to open up the 2014-15 season. After being third in the league in scoring last year averaging over 3 goals a game, the Bruins find themselves searching for some offense. They even added veteran Simon Gagne and will try him on RW instead of his usual position at LW. It might be early in the season but these back to back games will be very important going forward. The B's will want to get some revenge on Detroit who beat them last week 2-1. What can't be said about the game on Thursday vs the hated Montreal Canadiens. This will be the first game between the two teams since the Canadiens ended the B's season after winning game seven in Boston. On top of the Lucic handshake incident and Marchand letting it be known publicly that he very much dislikes Tomas Plekanec, it's safe to say there is a lot of bad blood between these 2 original six teams. These back to back games might not be the turning point in their season, but it's safe to say that if the Bruins can't find their scoring touch soon, it is not going to be a fun October for the team.
