With fights decreasing and enforcers being slowly phased out of the game, there is still a place where fighting occurs more often. That place is the LNAH (North American Hockey League). We have already been lucky enough this year to see many outstanding bouts out of the LNAH, but this one may take the cake. Marquis Jonquière bruiser Gabriel Boutin-Gagnon took on Trois-Riveres tough guy Gaby Roch in a heavyweight matchup that must be considered for fight of the year. These heavyweights really don’t let up for a minute, landing blow after blow. A fantastic bout between two highly trained professional athletes, doing what they are best at. Despite the calls for fighting to be abolished throughout pro hockey, the role of the enforcer remains a mainstay on hockey teams looking to send a message. The message here is, when a hockey fight is carried out in this manner it is not barbaric. Fights like these are things of beauty.
