Canucks and Islanders trade prospects.

The New York Islanders and the Vancouver Canucks made a trade today involving some of their younger prospects. The New York Islanders gave up defenseman Andrey Pedan in exchange for center Alexandre Mallet and the Canucks third round draft pick in 2016. Pedan has played just six game for the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers and has three points . Meanwhile Mallet is currently playing for the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings and has 11 points in 14 games with the club. Only time will tell which team got the better end of this deal.
