If the United States of America emerge victorious in this Gold Medal game, they will have goaltender Connor Hellebuyck to thank for it.

On Sunday, during the Gold Medal game contested between the USA and Canada, Hellebuyck made what is arguably one of the greatest saves you will ever see in an Olympic Gold Medal game. Hellebuyck absolutely robbed Canadian defenseman Devon Toews who looked like he had a wide open net and a clear path to giving the Canadians a 2-1 lead over the Americans.

It all went down in the game's third period after Hellebuyck made an initial save and was seemingly out of position, leaving Toews staring at a yawning cage. Hellebuyck however in a display of pure heroics would continue to battle after making the initial save and reached behind himself with his paddle in a desperate attempt to stop the puck. Miraculously, Hellebuyck would get his paddle on the puck and managed to get just enough of it to deflect the puck just wide of the USA net.

It was an unbelievable save and one that will no doubt be remembered for a very long time if Team USA manages to close this one out.
