Dangerous hit by Shattenkirk on Carter (Video)

Thankfully Ryan Carter wasn't seriously injured on the play. Kevin Shattenkirk gave a hard cross check to the numbers of Carter who was about 2 feet from the boards and fell into the boards awkwardly and stayed down. He hit his face into the boards and you see his neck twist into an awkward position. It wasn't the hardest cross check by Shattenkirk but it was more where he hit Carter and the position Carter was in. Shattenkirk received a 5 minute major for checking from behind and a game misconduct. Thankfully Carter was able to return to the game. It has been a very physical game so far. Here is the hit:
