Eberle goes between the legs and to the backhand for his first as an Islander.

On Friday night the newest member of the New York Islanders showed off the skill the Islanders were hoping he could bring to their offense when they traded for him.

For the first time since being traded away by the Edmonton Oilers for Ryan Strome, forward Jordan Eberle found the back of the net, and it was largely due to an incredible individual effort on his part.

Eberle worked the puck between his legs to bring it to his backhand before firing off a nasty shot that went top cheese to beat Buffalo Sabres veteran goalie Robin Lehner.

This was a beauty.
