The Central Division-leading Predators (6-2-2) looked more like prey last night as a bruised and battered Flames squad got the best of Nashville and goaltender Pekke Rinne. The Flames scored three times in the third period, to lift Calgary to the 4-3 victory. The Flames came into this game extremely thin at forward as Mikael Backlund, Matt Stajan and Joe Coubourne all missed last night's tilt due to injury. Mason Raymond also was absent with a shoulder injury. The Flames offence came from an unlikely source as Sean Monahan had a goal and an assist along with newcomer Johnny Gaudreau who also had a goal and an assist. Gaudreau was a force on the ice, creating plays whenever he touched the puck. A good omen in his first NHL campaign. "Certainly, in the third period, he was flying," Hartley said of Gaudreau. "Along with [Granlund] and [Hudler], their line was clicking. They were moving the puck well. They're three good skaters with unbelievable hockey sense. They're capable of making plays. They're capable of shooting. They were a big part of why we're leaving with two points." Here is Gaudreau's game winner. [iframe id="" mode="normal"]
