Flyers honour a an ex-captain (Video)

The trade that saw the Flyers send Mark Recchi and a 3rd round pick to Montreal for Eric Desjardins, John LeClair and Gilbert Dionne to Philly ended up being one of those trades that truly impacts a team. John LeClair ripped up the NHL along side Eric Lindros and Mikael Renberg while forming the Legion of Doom. As for Eric Desjardins, he ended up being captain and was a big part of the Flyers 11 straight trips to the playoffs. He had won a cup in Montreal but he feels he will always be known as a Flyer more and that was where his career really took off.
