Milan Lucic throws down in the EIHL on Sunday!
Veteran National Hockey League enforcer Milan Lucic may no longer be competing in the NHL but, as you're about to see, that hasn't changed much for the man himself.
A new video featuring Lucic is making the rounds on social media after the former Boston Bruins forward was involved in a physical altercation during a game on Sunday. Lucic, who now plays for the Fife Flyers of the EIHL, was taking on the Dundee Stars when things got heated between Lucic and Stars forward Morten Jurgens.
Jurgens is a significantly smaller man than Lucic and seemed hesitant at first to mix it up with the bigger man, but much to his credit he would drop the gloves and stick up for himself. Jurgens likely did better than he expected in the exchange with both men landing shots, but things truly got ugly as the fight came to an end.
As both men went crashing down to the ice, Lucic would deliver a nasty shot to the head of Jurgens who was down on the ice and defenseless at the time. Luckily if Jurgens was injured by the blow it wasn't immediately apparent, with the 25 year old forward quickly getting back to his feet and skating off the ice under his own power.
That being said it still wasn't the greatest look for Lucic, who was both the bigger and more experienced fighter in this exchange. Here is a look at the replay:
