Gone in 25 seconds!

Any other year, Jack Eichel would be the most hyped rookie in the NHL. Unfortunately for him, he was drafted the same year as Connor McDavid. Therefore, the Buffalo Sabres young gun isn't as marketed as he could have been.

Still, Eichel lets his play do the talking and that is exactly what happened yesterday in the Sabres rookie game against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night.

Only 25 seconds into the prospect showdown, Eichel found Nicholas Baptiste who completed the beautiful play by finding the back of the net.

This year could be the best Calder trophy race since Alex Ovechkin beat out Sidney Crosby for it a decade ago.
