Patrick Kane wins the race to a loose puck and slides in a backhander from a tough angle for his second hat trick in his last three games.

"I guess sometimes players get a little streaky," said Kane, after the game. "I don't think I played my best game tonight, but at the same time, you get opportunities and chances, and you find ways to score goals." Kane is not the only player finding his pace lately. Schmaltz is also playing really well right now and registered two assists on Kane's first two goals of the game.

"The last four games he really elevated his game to a different level," Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville said of Schmaltz. "[He was] a big factor again tonight. Great to see him play like that."
