Steve Yzerman is certainly one of the greatest to ever play the game, and the greatest Red Wings captain in history. Yzerman was drafted 4th overall in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. The entirety of his NHL was spent with the Red Wings and is the youngest player to ever wear the C for the Wings'. A prolific goal scorer and playmaker, the ever humble Yzerman led the Wings' to three Stanley Cups during his tenure. He currently ranks 9th all time in goals and 6th in points.
