Happy Birthday Phil Kessel!

Today on this Oct 2nd, the day that marks the birth of the Toronto Maple Leafs star forward, we take a POSITIVE look at Phil Kessel's tenure with the Maple Leafs. Let's be perfectly honest Leafs fans, we give this guy way more crap than we should sometimes, I mean even Leafs fans mocked him when he was selected last in the all-star draft. He has scored 30 goals in every full season he has played with the Leafs, and he has never put up fewer than 50 points for Leafs, that includes the lockout shortened season. A lot of fans label Kessel a selfish player, who is only interested in scoring goals but if you look at a break down of his career with the Leafs, he currently has more assists than goals. And most important of all, something that was completely overshadowed by the Leafs collapse at the end of last season, Phil Kessel put up 80 points of 82 games last year, just under a point a game. So Leafs fans let's take a moment to celebrate our star forward on this day of his birth.
