There's little doubt that for the people who experienced the events of September 11th 2001 in any degree, whether you were in New York or at home watching on the couch in disbelief at what unfolded before your eyes, it's a day that will mark them for the rest of their lives.

This week-end one of hockey's own, long-time head coach Bruce Boudreau, shared his surreal experience of that fateful day, revealing how he nearly became one of the victims of that tragedy, avoiding certain death only through sheer luck and circumstance.

It's a chilling reminder of how truly horrific a day it was in America's short history, and if his account is any indication, it's not a day that Bruce Boudreau will ever forget as long as he lives.
