Chicago Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa joined an elite club on Thursday night as he recorded his 1000th career point in the NHL. The milestone was reached on a third-period goal against the Ottawa Senators. "It's such a privilege to be one of these 80 great players to do this milestone, and it doesn't get better than this doing it where I started," Hossa said. "It means lots to me. A big thanks goes to all the players tonight who helped me to achieve that and also all the players through my career." Hossa is in his 17th NHL season, has 466 goals and 534 assists in 1,100 games. He is the 80th NHL player to reach 1,000 points. He was drafted by the Ottawa Senators with the 12th overall pick in the 1997 NHL Draft. The Hawks honoured Hossa before Sunday night's game:
