This is how NOT to execute in a three on one situation.

On Tuesday night the Carolina Hurricanes were gifted a golden opportunity to give their hometown fans something to cheer for when they had a three on one chance in sudden death overtime, but they couldn't capitalize.

Instead the Hurricanes fans and the Hurricanes bench were forced to watch as their three on one opportunity failed to produce some much as a shot on goal, and then the play quickly shifted back the other way.

Seconds later National Hockey League rookie forward Sonny Milano was on the break away, and he made the best of his chance putting the game away by beating Hurricanes goalie Scott Darling.
