Injured player throws stick at referee! (VIDEO)

I honestly never thought I would defend a player deliberately attacking an official but that day has come. During a KHL game, Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk forward Lukas Kaspar tossed his stick at an official after that referee refused to stop the game after Kaspar was clearly injured. It should be fairly obvious to anyone watching the video that Kaspar isn't trying to injure the ref, only get his attention to blow the play dead, Kaspar was given a game misconduct anyways. What do you guys think? Was it justified? Let me know in the comments below.
