Injury Update: Jonathan Toews official status for tonight's game.

The Chicago Blackhawks got the best news possible this morning their captain Jonathan Toews has been officially cleaed to play in tonight's game against the New York Islanders. Toews status has been up in the air after he was the recipient of a brutal check from behind by Boston Bruins defenceman Dennis Seidenberg. Toews went hard into the boards head first after being hit in the numbers by Seidenberg. Despite the dangerous nature of the hit, the NHL has chosen not to hand down supplementary discipline. Toews played only one shift after the hit, but travelled with the team and did not suffer any serious injury.
