The two massive forwards traded brutal punches before a dominant finish.
Tuesday night brought another heavyweight showdown to the NHL.
Utah Mammoth forward Jack McBain and New Jersey Devils defenseman Brenden Dillon dropped the gloves in a wild fight that quickly turned into a battle of two massive players.
Dillon appeared to be looking to spark his Devils teammates when he challenged McBain, and the two didn't waste any time getting down to business.
Once the gloves came off, the two big men traded haymakers in a bout that had plenty of power behind every punch. McBain, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 218 pounds, went toe-to-toe with the 6-foot-4, 225-pound Dillon. With virtually no size advantage separating the two, it quickly became a pure heavyweight battle.
Both players landed some big shots, but McBain ultimately got the upper hand.
The Utah forward pulled Dillon's jersey over his head, effectively ending the fight and giving himself a clear edge in one of the more entertaining scraps of Tuesday night's action.
It was exactly the kind of fight that can wake up a hockey game.
Dillon may have been looking to provide a spark for New Jersey, but McBain made sure he got the final word.
And judging by the haymakers these two exchanged, neither man was looking to take a step backward.
