Jurco rips a perfect shot shelf for 1st of season (Video)

Tomas Jurco finally got the monkey off his back and you could easily see the relief in his reaction when he saw the puck go past Sergei Bobrovsky and into the net. It was a perfectly placed shot top corner off the left post. He used a nice screen in front by Darren Helm as well. Jurco has been playing some decent hockey, he just hadn't been able to find the back of the net. With a shot like that, you know there are more to come. The Wings were all over the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight and easily took care of them with a 5-0 win. Jimmy Howard was once again solid making 28 saves to earn his first shutout of the season.
