The two minute goaltender interference penalty that New York Rangers forward Chris Kreider recieved in a 3-1 loss at the hands of the Edmonton Oilers Sunday night was not only bad for the team, it further added to the bad reputation that Kreider is beginning to develop throughout the NHL. It marked the third time in 25 games that Kreider has made serious contact with a goaltender, and it looks as though officials are giving Kreider no quarter. At 6-foot-3 and nearly 200 lbs., his combination of size and speed makes him a danger when he comes crashing towards the net, which would work in the Rangers favour on most nights. But with referees calling Kreider every time he gets close to a goalie, it stops being a benefit to the team. Kreider may have to change his game plan a bit.
