The National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety is likely going to have a look at this one based on how they have been handling hits to the head during this postseason.

With that said, Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov continued to demonstrate that he may very well be the face of the Lightning moving forward when he delivered a thunderous hit to a much bigger man in Kyle Okposo. Kucherov did catch Okposo high, but in his defense it does appear Okposo should shoulder some of the blame as he leaned into the hit, likely playing a role in the point of contact.

Kucherov has been incredible from an offensive perspective for the Lightning, so much so that many have questioned whether or not his play impacts the future of negotiations with Steven Stamkos, and now he's stepping up with his physical play in the playoffs as well.
