The late, great Bob Probert (Video)

Bob Probert knew his role on the Red Wings. His role was to protect the teams star players. With stars such as Steve Yzerman on the team, an enforcer was undoubtedly priceless. It would be difficult to put a price on what Probert would do to players looking to injure Red Wings stars. Probert is regarded by many as the greatest enforcer to ever play in the NHL. His classic bouts are still entertaining to watch and his 3300 penalty minutes for a career rank him third all time. His unfortunate passing was announced on July 5, 2010 from heart failure. This is a salute to one of the toughest Wings to ever play. R.I.P Bob.
