After what has seemed like a never ending string of injuries to key members of the Detroit Red Wings line up, we finally have a positive update for you. While nothing has been made official, Red Wings General Manager Ken Holland stated on Monday that both forwards Riley Sheahan and Eric Cole could be back as early as Tuesday. Both players have missed time with upper-body injuries, it's been three games for Cole, and two for Sheahan. While the Red Wings are just about locked in to their current playoff position the return of two key forwards just two weeks away from the playoffs can only be viewed as an overwhelming positive. We will continue to keep a close eye on this developing story, if either player suffers a setback we will provide the update.
