Malkin comes in to defend a teammate (Video)

Evgeni Malkin had enough of Dion Phaneuf tonight. Malkin came to the defense of his linemate after Phaneuf hit Patric Hornqvist with a hard check. Gino right away b-lined straight for Phaneuf when he saw it. Phaneuf had hit Pascal Dupuis from behind earlier in the game so when Malkin saw it was Phaneuf again, he wasn't going to let it stand. Malkin came flying in and checked Phaneuf, the two then dropped the gloves but the referees stepped in rather quickly. Malkin is not exactly a fighter but he is tough, and he doesn't back down from anyone. Gino is one of the best players in the league and tonight he showed that he doesn't let anyone mess with his teammates.
