Malkin scores a hat trick in one period on Monday night.

There was an absolutely wild second period on Monday night between the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins.

With the Capitals up three goals to none early in the second the Penguins needed a bit of a miracle to turn the game around and they got exactly that in the form of star forward Evgeni Malkin.

Malkin led an absolutely bonkers Penguins comeback, first scoring the opening goal of the game for Pittsburgh, and then going on to add two more goals in the same period for a one period hat trick and part of a NINE goal second period.

Here are the three goals.
