A former National Hockey League forward turned some heads on Wednesday when he scored one of the most beautiful goals at the Sochi Hockey Open.
31-year-old Mason Raymond was playing for Canada in an exhibition game against the Kontinental Hockey League's Metallurg, and it was during that game that he scored an amazing lacrosse-style goal from behind the net.
The former Vancouver Canucks second round pick showed off both his skills and his creativity, likely turning the heads of a few NHL general managers who opted not to sign Raymond as a free agent.
